F. Zoren Veltman
F. Zoren Veltman was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands and immigrated to the U.S. as a young child. At age 6, his first artistic influences were Toulouse Lautrec and movie cartoons. As an adult, Zoren admires all art movements, though the Surrealists, Abstract Expressionists, and Symbolists have had the greatest impact, as have the masters Nicolai Fechin, Lucian Freud, and Frank Auerbach. Zoren is a sculptor and painter who works primarily with acrylic, oils, clay, and charcoal, preferring oils and charcoal for their great range of effects and sensuality. Zoren’s personal mottos are “be useful, be kind,” and “never fall in love with your own work.” He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
