Oscar Alvarado

Oscar Alvarado doesn’t follow many traditional artists.  His eclectic taste has led him to appreciate many forms of modern art, while staying current with popular art and music.  Born in Torreón, Coahuila Mexico, Oscar is inspired by his Hispanic, South/Central American heritage, using contemporary materials and methods to celebrate traditions, memories, and bring iconic cultural images into the mainstream.  His favorite medium is spray paint, learning techniques and tricks independently.  Raised in the USA from the age of 12, the quote, “It always seems impossible until it is done,” by Nelson Mandela has always stuck with him. Oscar currently lives in Ashland, Oregon.
